Seasoned dancehall hitmaker Mr Easy, riding high on the success of his smash single ‘Gone A Lead’, has just released his latest album titled ‘Dancehall Chronicles’.

The album is the second compilation project released under his label, Asid Reignz Music.

The Drive Me Crazy singer told THE WEEKEND STAR that his independent record label was borne on the premise that the music business has changed and he had to establish his own brand to maintain his catalogue.

Gone A Lead, on the Wicked Up rhythm produced by Notnice Records, has favoured well in Europe with Dutch football club Feyenoord. Mr Easy said the song has been used as the anthem for the club.

“It’s on the club’s website. They won the title in their respective league and used the song as a statement that they have finally gone ahead of Ajax FC to win the cup,” he said.

Mr Easy said he is pleased with the album and expects it to do well.

He said another single to watch for is Bashment Gal, produced by Billboard-nominated Ricky Blaze.

The album also features collaborations with Beenie Man on Fly Away; Party Time, featuring Christopher Martin; and Love Dem Bad with Agent Sasco.

Mr Easy is currently in the US promoting Dancehall Chronicles.
